  1. Mount the valve securely on the side opening of the softener vessel.
  2. Connect inlet, outlet, and drain pipelines according to valve markings.
  3. Install the riser pipe and bottom distributor assembly correctly.
  4. Tighten all threaded joints using suitable sealing tape.
  5. Connect the brine line required for regeneration operation.
  6. Slowly fill the vessel with water and inspect all connections for leakage.
  7. Perform initial regeneration and rinse cycles before placing the softener into service mode.

The 25 NB Side Mount Front Facing Softener Multiport Valve directs water flow through the softener vessel during different stages of operation.

In service mode, hard water passes through the resin bed where hardness-causing minerals such as calcium and magnesium are removed through ion exchange. During regeneration mode, brine solution restores the resin's softening capacity. The rinse mode flushes excess brine and prepares the resin bed for normal operation.

The bypass mode allows water flow while isolating the softener during maintenance or servicing.
