🔧 How To Install
1. Select the Installation Point
Choose a straight section of the pipeline where flow is stable. Avoid installing immediately after bends, valves, or pumps to ensure accurate readings.
2. Ensure Proper Orientation
Install the rotameter in a vertical position with upward flow. Correct orientation is critical for proper float movement and accuracy.
3. Connect to the Pipeline
Fit the inlet and outlet connections directly into the pipeline using appropriate fittings (threaded or union type). Follow the flow direction marking on the rotameter body.
4. Tighten and Secure Connections
Ensure all joints are properly tightened to prevent leakage. Use thread seal tape if required for threaded connections.
5. Start Flow and Check Operation
Run the system and observe the float movement. It should rise smoothly without sticking, indicating proper installation.
6. Verify Reading Stability
Check that the float stabilizes at a consistent level under steady flow conditions. Fluctuations may indicate air, turbulence, or incorrect installation.
⚙️ How It Works
- Variable Area Principle
An inline rotameter operates on the variable area principle, where fluid flows upward through a tapered tube, allowing the float to move freely inside. - Float Position and Flow Relationship
As flow increases, the upward force lifts the float higher. The float settles at a position where the upward force of the fluid equals the downward force of gravity. - Direct Flow Indication
The float level corresponds to a calibrated scale on the rotameter body, giving a direct reading of flow rate without the need for power or electronics. - Continuous Monitoring
The rotameter provides real-time visual feedback, allowing operators to quickly detect changes in flow conditions within the RO system. - Simple and Efficient Design
With no moving parts other than the float, inline rotameters are highly reliable, low-maintenance, and ideal for continuous flow monitoring in water treatment systems.
