🔧 How To Install

  1. Choose the Installation Location: Install the dosing pump close to the chemical tank and near the RO feed line. The area should be dry, well-ventilated, and easily accessible for operation and maintenance.
  2. Mount the Pump Properly: Fix the pump securely on a wall, skid, or base frame. It should remain upright and stable to ensure accurate dosing and long-term reliability.
  3. Connect the Suction Line: Insert the suction tube into the chemical tank and attach a foot valve with a strainer. Ensure the line is airtight to prevent air entry, which can disturb dosing accuracy.
  4. Connect the Discharge Line: Connect the discharge tubing to the RO feed pipeline. Install an injection point or non-return valve (NRV) to ensure proper chemical entry and prevent backflow.
  5. Provide Electrical Connection: Connect the pump to the appropriate power supply as per its rating. Ideally, interlock it with the RO system so the pump runs only when the plant is operating.
  6. Prime and Start the Pump: Fill the pump head with solution and run it to remove any trapped air. Adjust the dosing rate as required and check all connections before continuous operation.

⚙️ How It Works

Metering Mechanism: A dosing pump operates by delivering a fixed quantity of chemical with each stroke or cycle. This controlled movement allows precise and repeatable dosing, which is essential in RO systems.

Suction and Discharge Process: During operation, the pump first draws chemical from the tank through the suction line, then pushes it into the water line through the discharge side. This alternating action ensures a continuous and steady flow of chemical.

One-Way Flow Control: Internal non-return valves maintain a single direction of flow. This prevents backflow from the pipeline and ensures that each stroke contributes to accurate dosing.

Adjustable Output Control: The dosing rate can be adjusted by changing stroke length, frequency, or speed. This allows the pump to match the exact chemical requirement based on water quality and system design.

Integration with RO System: The pump works in coordination with the RO plant to dose chemicals such as antiscalants, SMBS, or minerals. This ensures membrane protection, proper water chemistry, and consistent system performance.
