🔧 How To Install

  1. Select the Installation Position: Choose a vertical section on the panel where the rotameter can be clearly seen and easily accessed. Proper visibility is important for accurate reading.
  2. Cut and Prepare the Panel: Make the required cut-out in the panel as per the rotameter size. Ensure proper alignment so the meter sits straight and stable.
  3. Fix the Rotameter on Panel: Mount the rotameter securely using screws or clamps provided. It should be firmly fixed without any tilt.
  4. Connect the Inlet and Outlet Lines: Attach the inlet and outlet connections to the respective pipelines. Ensure correct flow direction as marked on the rotameter body.
  5. Ensure Vertical Alignment: The rotameter must be perfectly vertical for accurate flow measurement. Even slight tilting can affect readings.
  6. Check for Leaks and Flow: Start the system and check all connections. Ensure smooth flow and confirm that the float inside moves freely.

  • Variable Area Flow Measurement: An acrylic rotameter works on the principle of variable area. As fluid enters from the bottom, it flows upward through a tapered tube, creating space for the float to rise.
  • Float Movement and Balance: The upward force of the flowing liquid lifts the float, while gravity pulls it downward. The float stabilizes at a point where these forces balance, indicating the flow rate.
  • Direct Visual Indication: The position of the float corresponds to a calibrated scale printed on the body. This allows instant and direct reading of flow without any external power.
  • Dependence on Flow Rate: Higher flow increases the upward force, lifting the float higher. Lower flow results in the float settling at a lower position, making it easy to monitor variations.
